A number of non sports fans the world over who regard sports logo collectibles as a shameful waste of funds and space, and an eyesore to boot. Regardless of which, sports fans would disagree stubbornly. There are a myriad of sports logo merchandise out there apart from the common ones such as awesome belt buckles or cool license plates. And many are unexpectedly useful too.
Men are mainly the culprits when it comes to going over the age with their popular sports memorabilia collection. Spouses and companions of such fans have had to go through the apathetic but sure relinquishment of the living room and den area every time a new MLB, NHL, NFL or NBA season starts.
The only types of paraphernalia that used to be displayed on the walls of bedrooms and living rooms were team flags, framed jerseys and miniature or authentic collectors helmets.
But there is hope. There are in fact many useful sports collectibles out there that do more than just use up space.
Neighbors will now know which team a person supports even before they set foot in the house, with the aid of a door mat with the team logo on it. Looking at the door, they might see another clue in the guise of a team merchandise door knocker.
Team logo merchandise such as throw pillows, classy looking lamps, fireplace screens and bean bags are now commonplace in many living rooms of sports fans.
Logo memorabilia such as chopping boards, plate sets, and of course the ever popular die cut refrigerator magnets are now used often in the modern kitchen.
These items no longer incorporate loud design language that scream out the team name a person supports. They are now subtly designed to fit right in with the rest of the items of the house. Some of the time the team name is only displayed in just one color or the team logo is confined to a certain size.
For those who are techies, there are even team logo LCD monitors and mobile phone covers. What will they think of next?
Actually, there are still various everyday items that could still be turned into useful team logo memorabilia. Think about what you would use everyday and or what product you would like to see your favorite team’s name on. Team logo wallpaper for the baby’s room would be great to help give junior a lead at supporting daddy’s favorite team. Everyday household team logo memorabilia could include soap on a rope, shaving cartridges and even shower curtains. Who knows, one of your ideas might end up being an official MLB merchandise. The possibilities are limitless.
